Betty E. Speelman

Betty E. Speelman, 93, went home to be with the Lord on March 3, 2015. She was born in Garrett, PA to the late Goldie and Harry Nedrow. She enjoyed playing cards, shopping, and spending time with her family. She lived a blessed life witnessing five generations. Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Glenn; and sisters, Frances and Helen. She leaves to cherish her memory, loving daughter, Jo Ann (David) Chapman; granddaughters, Jacqueline (Sean) Palko, Michelle (Chris) Bonnette, and Julie (Michael) Nees; great-grandchildren, Christy, Daniel, Brandon, Andrew, Sara, Kayla, Jessica, Andrew, Kayla, Elizabeth, and Hannah; ten great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Daphne Amos for her loving care. Calling hours will be held on Monday March 9, 2015 from 6-8pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday March 10, 2015 at 1:30pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Friends may call the chapel from 12:30-1:30pm.
