Bettie F. Lynch
Bettie F. Lynch, 91, of Akron, passed away March 29, 2014. She was born on October 15, 1922 in Kingston, Pennsylvania. Bettie will always be remembered as a devoted wife and mother. She lived for her grandchildren and helped raise many of them. Bettie had a gift for shopping and particularly loved Coach purses and jewelry. It was not unusual for her children and grandchildren to visit her carrying one purse and leave with another. Her quirky sense of humor and love for her family will be remembered by all who knew her.
Bettie was preceded in death by her father, Keith Gordner; mother, Letha Murphy; daughter, Patricia Myers; sister, Evelyn Hupp; grandson, David Nelson Myers; son-in-law, Ray Myers; and daughter-in-law, Sheri Lynch.
She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 72 years, Richard Lynch; children, John Michael Lynch, Letha (Joe) Koerschner, and Candace Costilow (Bob Collica); and countless grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Special thanks to Patty, Mom's hospice nurse, and Bethany, Mom's health aide for all their loving care to Mom and the family.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, April 2 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
