Betsy Freeman, 75, went to be with the Lord on November 24, 2012. She was a member of South Main Street Church of God. Betsy enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Nancy Collins; and son-in-law, Mike Hoke. She will be greatly missed by sons, Jack Spurgeon, of Kentucky, Billy Joe (Theresa) Spurgeon, of Kentucky, James (Diane) Collins, of Kentucky; daughters, Darlene Reyes, of South Carolina, Carol (Jay) Gurnish, of Akron, Sandra (Hobby) Habbib, of Texas, Nancy Lambert, of Alabama, Betty Cole, of Wadsworth, Tina Hoke, of Wadsworth; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Pugsy.
Calling hours will be Thursday, 6-8 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m.
