Bertha F. Oliphant

Bertha F. "Bert" Oliphant, 68, of Akron, passed away on January 29, 2018. She was born in Akron on March 29, 1949 to the late Pierce and Othello Knight. Bert retired from Little Tikes after fifteen years of service. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking, and reading. In addition to her parents, Bert was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Knight; and the father of her children, Gary Oliphant. She will be dearly missed by her children, Steve (Tiffany) Oliphant, Angie Oliphant, Amanda (Chad) Salzwimmer, and Ranee Oliphant; siblings, Alfred (Betty) Knight, Linda (Bob) Windows, Rose (Dennis) Landin, and Lester Knight; grandchildren, Alexis, Garrett, Sam, Gavin, and Wade; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 1-3 followed by a 3:00 p.m. memorial service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
