Bernice Ledford, loving mother and grandmother, 86, resident of Akron formerly of Kent, passed away Monday, November 19, 2012. She was born on January 15, 1926 in Dyersburg, TN to Ben and Vera (nee Heathscott) Dunavent.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert C. "Jack" Ledford; son, Albert Samuel Ledford. Survived by her children, Bobby (Karen) Ledford, Larry (Dian) Ledford, and Ricky (Tammy) Ledford; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; sister, Madelin; brother, Marvin; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Friends may call 2:00 – 4:00 PM on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 26, 2012. Final resting place will be at Hillside Memorial Park.
