Bernard A. Joyce Sr.
Bernard A. Joyce Sr., 69, of Akron, passed away on October 17, 2015. He was born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania on October 15, 1946. Bernard served during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He was an avid gardener and loved riding his Harley.
Bernard was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Mary and his brother, Michael. He will be deeply missed by his son, Bernard A. Joyce Jr.; daughter, Jennifer Sue Joyce; sister, Christine Errett and her husband, Henry; and close family members, Mary McCarty and Eugene McCarty.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Bernard will be privately laid to rest at Rose Hill Burial Park.
