Becky Ruth Quinlan, 70, of Akron, passed away on July 17, 2025. She was born on May 23, 1955 the daughter of the late Clifford and Dorothy Burkhardt (nee Jones).
Becky graduated from Akron North High School and attended Hammel Actual College in Akron.
Becky grew up as a member of the North Hill Christian Church, where she and Don were married, and sang in the Church Choir. She and Don prepared and served many fundraising dinners for the church. They later joined North Hill Methodist Church on Blaine Ave, Akron after Don became the Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 18. She was an active member of the Troop Committee and the local Boy Scout District Committee. Becky was also active with Don in the North Hill Baseball Association helping as a Team Mom, umpire and avid fan as all three children were active in baseball and softball.
She worked for the District Office of the United Methodist Church. And in earlier years as the children grew up, she worked for the Akron City Schools as a lunchroom helper/server.
She was married to her loving husband, Donald E. Quinlan Sr. on July 31, 1976.
She is also survived by daughter Roberta Swirsky and her husband Jason, granddaughters Bailey & Caitlyn Swirsky, son Tedd Quinlan and wife Meghann. And son Donald Jr. and wife Raechel with grandson Parker Quinlan.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 26, from 1:00 to 3:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron).
