Barbara J. "Barb" Pritchett

Barbara J. "Barb" Pritchett, 83, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026 with family by her side. She was born in Mancelona, Michigan and raised in nearby Alba along with three brothers and three sisters. After graduating high school Barb moved to Akron, Ohio, where she began working at a coffee shop downtown. It was there that she met her first husband, James "Jimmy" Siglow.

Known for always sending cards to those she loved, Barb enjoyed shopping, spending time at the Tallmadge Rec Center (walking and talking with her numerous friends) and attending the sporting events of her grandkids. For the past twelve years Barb's second husband Will Pritchett was the center of her life.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Evelyn (Hubbard) Brown; 5 siblings. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Will Pritchett; daughters, Theresa (Kevin) Mitchell, Michelle (Mark) Franzmann; grandchildren, John (Sarah) Jacobs, Danielle (Jason) Clark, Jared Franzmann; great grandchildren, Landon, Ariana, Xavier, Elijah; sister, JoAnn (Garry) Erickson; special friend, Becky.

Barb's selflessness, warmth and generous spirit will always be remembered by those who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength and compassion that lives on in all of us. In the loving words of her husband, "we lost a good one."

Family and friends are invited to visit Monday, March 23, 2026 from 5 to 6 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m at the funeral home.
