Barbara Holsinger

Barbara Holsinger, a woman of profound faith and gentle spirit, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on February 8, 2026. Born and raised in Akron, Ohio, Barbara dedicated her life to the service of others, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and unwavering kindness.

Barbara’s heart was as vast as the nature she so dearly loved. An avid camper and outdoor enthusiast, she found God’s presence in the quiet of the woods and the beauty of all creatures, "great and small." While she held a special affection for her beloved cats, her empathy extended to every living thing. She was a constant source of encouragement to those around her, always ready with a kind word to lift a heavy spirit.

A devoted woman of God, Barbara lived her life as a testament to her faith. She truly "fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith" (2 Timothy 4:7), carrying the love of the Lord in her heart until her final breath. To know Barbara was to be loved by her; she saw the best in everyone and treated all she met with genuine warmth.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her three brothers, one sister, many nieces, nephews.

Following a private family service, a public Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date to honor her remarkable journey and the many lives she touched.
