Barbara Ann "Barb" Guess

Barbara Ann Guess, 82, of Akron, passed away unexpectedly at her home on September 21, 2026. A lifelong resident of Akron, Barb was born on November 14, 1943 to the late Fred and Martha {Lowe} Vinsel.

In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her beloved husband Howard Guess, their son James "Jimmy" Guest, and her sisters Karen (Harry) Roberts and Susan (Harry) Conner.

Barb is survived by her loving daughter, Sandra (Robert "Tony" Seidel) Guest; grandson, Tod (Sandi) Guest; great-grandchildren Angel Guest, Haley Guest, Brandon Guest; great-great-grandson Kylo Ewing; niece and nephews, Julie (Jeff) Goff, Jeffrey Conner and Dan (Deanna) Conner.

Barb had a caring heart for everyone, from the clients she cared for, to her closest friends and family. She loved trips to Disney World with her family, and spoiling her grandson and great-grandbabies.

Per Barb's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of her life will be planned for a later date. She will be privately laid to rest with her son Jimmy next to her husband Howard at Hillside Memorial Park, Akron.
