B. Faye Serdinak, 86, passed away with her family by her side on April 27, 2017. She was born in Akron, Ohio on June 9, 1930 to the late Albert and Beaulah Snyder, one of eighteen children. Faye helped raise many of her siblings. She graduated from Garfield High School and worked for several years at Acme. She later retired from Kroger's. Faye was dedicated to her family and was always there when others needed her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and twelve siblings. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Edward who she married on October 15, 1949; children, Edward Serdinak II, Gerri (Gary) Smith, Steve (Joyce) Serdinak, and Marcia Serdinak; sisters, Dorothy Grenus, Ruth (Delmar) Leidy, Mary (Dave) Steele, Alice (Bob) Rick, and Joyce (Irving) Finkel; grandchildren, Edward III, David, Mike, Michael, Amber, Cory, Kaylee, Jessica, and Dan; and many great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 1, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery, 100 E. Waterloo Rd., Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
