It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of April Edgell-Henline, who departed this life on July 15, 2026, at the age of 55. Born on May 9, 1971, April touched the lives of everyone she met with her kindness, compassion, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
April was a very wonderful, caring registered nurse whose dedication to her profession was evident in the gentle and capable way she cared for her patients. Her heart of gold shone brightly in all that she did, whether at work or at home, and she was beloved by her colleagues and those she helped throughout her career.
Beyond her gifts in nursing, April was a beautiful singer, enchanting all who listened with her heartfelt renditions of bluegrass, gospel, and country music. Her love of music was a source of joy both for herself and those around her, creating cherished memories that her family and friends will always hold dear.
Family meant everything to April, and she loved hers deeply. She is survived by her daughter, Hope (Walter) Riddle who will forever carry her strength and love within. Her cherished sister, Linda Batcha, and her beloved nieces, Melissa (Josh) Maley, Ashley McAvenue, and Amber McAvenue, will remember her warmth and humor. April’s heart overflowed with love for her grandson, Johnathan Riddle, with whom she shared a special and enduring bond. The love she had for her family was evident to all who knew her, and she held them close in her heart every day.
April’s devotion extended beyond her human loved ones; she also treasured her dogs, finding comfort and joy in their loyal companionship.
She is preceded in death by her dear sister, Melissa McAvenue; her loving parents, Donald Lee Edgell and Ruby Jewel Arnold; and her husband, Randy Henline. The loss of these treasured family members weighed on her heart, but their memory also fueled her own compassion and resilience.
Those who knew April Edgell-Henline will remember her as a woman of extraordinary kindness, talent, and depth. Her legacy is one of caring, song, and immeasurable love—a legacy that will live on in all those whose lives she touched.
Though she has left us, the echoes of her laughter, her beautiful singing voice, and the profound love she showed will resonate forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
