April Christine Brooks (Felean, Moffitt) passed away on October 14, 2026, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was born on February 22, 1959, in Coshocton, Ohio, and will be remembered as a strong, loving, caring, resilient woman whose life was centered on family, faith, and the simple joys that brought warmth to those around her.
A graduate of Coshocton High School, April built a life marked by compassion and service to others. She worked for several years as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor, offering help and support in meaningful ways. She later moved into a career where she worked her way up to the title of office manager operating a temporary agency, where she helped place people into the workforce. In both roles, she made a difference in the lives of others through her dedication and care.
April embraced life with enthusiasm and a vivid sense of personality. She was known for having a great sense of humor, but also for her stubbornness. April is described by her family as a lady who had a unique and lovely sense of style, she lit up a room with her bright smile; Her best friend always described April like an Angel with her beautiful blond hair and blue eyes.
She loved cats, gardening, decorating, acting, and singing, and she kept her faith close to her heart. She especially delighted in decorating for the holidays and was known to go wonderfully over the top, creating festive surroundings that reflected her joyful spirit. She also enjoyed horror movies and mysteries, finding pleasure in stories that kept her guessing and entertained.
Of all the roles she held in life, the one she cherished most was being a mother. Her proudest accomplishment was being an amazing mother and always putting her family first. That devotion shaped her life and remains one of the clearest and most enduring gifts she leaves behind.
April is survived by her beloved sons, Dallas Felean and Dalton Felean, who were at the heart of her life. She is also survived by her brother, Dewey Paul Moffitt; her stepfather, James Wiandt; her aunt, Caroline Emerson; and her cousin, Julie Stokes. Each of them carries forward memories of her strength, her love, her determination, and the unmistakable spirit she brought into a room.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Joann Wiandt, and her father, Dewey Wesley Moffitt.
