Anthony Butler

Anthony Butler (Tony, TB, Tone, Pitit), age 65 of Akron OH, passed away November 13, 2025, after a long hard fight from cancer and other diseases. He was born in Akron, Ohio on June 4, 1960, to Henry Butler and Agnes Harrison.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Liz Butler & son Anthony (TJ) Butler, brothers John (Rhonda) Butler and Henry (Kim) Butler, sister Louise (Vincent) Allen, Aunts and Uncle, and many cousins.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, sisters Carol Davis, Kathy Butler, and Arnetta Hill.

Tony enjoyed fishing and being on the road to travel, he also loved his old school music. He worked delivering newspapers and cutting grass in his younger years. In his adult years he worked at Budget Rent A Car where he met his wife. Then he worked at Terminal Warehouse Inc until he became sick. Both businesses his boss was Ron Goson who played an important role in his life.

TJ grew up to be a responsible and loving person whom Tony was very proud of. TJ was an important role in his caretaking along with Liz for his 8 year illness battle. Thank you to Gifted Hands Health Care LLC, Hospice and Akron General Hospital.
