Anna McCourt-Fodse, 75, passed away on May 1, 2015. She was born in Akron on December 27, 1939 and graduated from Springfield High School in 1957, where she was a majorette. After high school, Anna was a secretary at BF Goodrich and later worked as an office manager for several area doctors.
She was a gifted gardener and always looked forward to spring when she could begin planning her gardens. She was an excellent cook and loved knitting. A devoted Christian, Anna enjoyed attending church and reading her Bible. Six months ago, she married Dominic Fodse on the happiest day of her life.
Anna was preceded in death by her father, William Doyle and sister, Helen Collins. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Dominic Fodse; children, Mark (Rochelle) Hamilton, Bryan Hamilton, Kelly Barone (Geno), and Valerie Thompson (Brian); mother, Anna Logan; sister, Martha (Larry) Bauman; brother, David (Margo) Doyle; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 4-6 followed by a 6:00 p.m. funeral service with Pastor Vince Hardy officiating at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
