Anna Lee Whytsell, 89, of N. Canton, OH went home to be with the Lord on March 14, 2014. She died peacefully surrounded by her family. Anna was born in Franklin, WV on April 12, 1924 to the late Jennings and Vanie Hartman.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gene, on March 27, 2012 and brother, Owen Hartman.
Anna is survived by her children, Jerry (Billie), Judy (David) Wilt, Fred (Peggy), Larry (Betty) and Paula (Dewey) Harrington; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Edward (June) Hartman and sister, Evelyn Ruddle. Anna had a very special relationship with niece, Debbie (Paul) Fledder-Johann and nephew, Edward (Terry) Hartman.
Her life evolved around her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was well known for her baking skills and her world famous pies. The family would like to thank everyone at St. Luke Lutheran Community in N. Canton for the kindness and compassion shown for our mother and ourselves.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, March 18, from 12-2 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church, 1212 Greensburg Rd., Green, OH where a funeral service will follow the calling hours at 2 p.m. with Pastor Glenn E. Rogers, Jr. officiating. Entombment at Hillside Memorial Park.
