Anna D. Roberts

Anna D. Roberts, 86, of Hartville, passed away April 15, 2014. She was born in Mingo Junction, OH on September 11, 1927 to the late John and Martha Dojonovic. She was a lifetime resident of Steubenville, OH and was employed for over 38 years by the Social Security Administration where she retired as the regional manager in 1986. Anna was a member of Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, Steubenville, OH.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James G. Roberts; brothers, Daniel, Steven and Robert Dojonovic; sisters, Selma Auvil, Mildred (Joseph) Sherensky and Mary (Frank) Gallownia.

Anna is survived by her daughters, Martha (Joseph) Giangiulio of Uniontown, OH and Gayle Benjamin of Columbus; grandchildren, Ann Marie Giangiulio of Chicago, IL, Samantha (Jeffrey) Hamler of Dallas, TX, Emily Giangiulio of Uniontown, OH and Hannah Benjamin of Columbus, OH; great-granddaughter, Harper Hamler of Dallas, TX; sister, Sophie Schoolcraft of Mingo Junction, OH; sister-in-law, Mary Kay Dojonovic of Mingo Junction, OH and brother-in-law, Alfred Auvil of N. Canton, OH; loving companion of 20 years, Robert Boss of Wintersville, OH; 12 nieces and nephews and 8 great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call on Saturday, April 19, from 1-2 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will follow calling hours at 2 p.m. with Fr. Aleksa Pavichevich officiating.
