Andrew Clark Rook, 66, of Akron, passed away on April 25, 2026 at his home.
He was born on December 22, 1959 to Clark and Georgianne (Bringard) Rook in Akron, OH.
Andrew worked professionally as a Chef for the Martin Center at the University of Akron. He was passionate about good food and cooking; even after a long day at work he would come home and enjoy cooking himself a nice meal.
He was a lover of life, always willing to help anyone in need, and always enjoyed finding the simple pleasures in life. Andrew loved to laugh and make people laugh, he never met a stranger anywhere that he went. He loved baseball, fishing, and football; a die hard Cleveland Browns fan. He loved music especially Jimmy Buffett and the Beatles. He loved to play cards especially Euchre. Most of all, he loved his family.
Andrew is survived by his loving daughters, Shawn (Ed) Mallery and Megan Rook; granddaughter, Eva Vaudreuil; and sisters, Debbie (Tom) McGrath and Heather (Rick) Perschel.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgianne Rook; and brothers, Jim Rook, George Rook, and Kurt Brown.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 , 12:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Akron, Ohio 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 followed by a memorial service at 1:00 pm.
Memorials are suggested to the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank.
