Amos Clark Gray, 56, of Canton, went home to be with the Lord on April 2, 2026. He was born on October 31, 1969, in Canton, Ohio, to the late Edmon and Alice Gray.
A graduate of Timken Senior High School in 1987, Amos was not just a student but an athlete, playing football and embracing the camaraderie and spirit of the game. His passion for the sport endured well beyond his school years, as he remained an avid fan of professional football, always eagerly anticipating the historic Massillon-McKinley High School football game—a local rivalry close to his heart. Following high school, Amos continued his education at Mount Union University, earning a bachelor’s degree in business.
A history buff, Amos was particularly fascinated by World War II, often immersing himself in stories and lessons from that pivotal time. His love for photography offered him a unique lens through which to appreciate the beauty of the world, capturing nature and cityscapes with a quiet eye for detail and wonder. His faith was a cornerstone; a man of deep spirituality, Amos regularly attended church and found solace and inspiration in reading the Bible, living a life rich in devotion and reflection.
Amos was preceded in death by his parents, Edmon and Alice Gray; his brother, Edmon Gray Jr., and his sister, Mary L. Gray-Armour.
He is survived by his sister, Lillie R. Gray (John Stevens); nephews, David Stevens, Shannon Gray, Conrad Armour, Jr, and Amor Armour; niece Chantel Davis; cousin Lillie Kennedy ; and friends, Reverend and Mrs. John Carter and John and Lisa Thompson.
Per Amos’ request, cremation has taken place. There will be no services or visitation.
