Alex Lucas

Alex Lucas, 15, of Clinton, beloved and cherished son of Jeff Lucas and Nancy Lee Ann McCarty Lucas, loved brother of Christopher, Valerie and Michael Lucas, left his earthly body while his loving parents held him on Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Leukemia cruelly took our beautiful Alex entirely too soon within 24hrs of diagnosis and we may never understand why our cherished child is now in Heaven. Alex is truly missed by papaw and nana Siler and Emma McCarty; nana, Nancy Cleary and mamaw Carol McCarty; aunts, Jeanne Hopkins, Polly Rains, Ericka Mae McCarty; uncles, David McCarty and Jarrod (Adrian) McCarty; loving cousins, Matthew, Tala and Faith Hopkins, Brittany (Derrick) Stanifer, Alyssa Rains, Abbey, Connor and Chandler McCarty; a hole in the hearts of his three best friends who waited faithfully for his eyes to open again, Justin Saikaly, Joe Karickhoff and Louie Beck. Alex was a freshmen at Manchester High School and got his arrow of light with Cub Pack 3118 and enjoyed 4-wheeling and was the family dog whisperer. Special thanks to Dana, Renee, Lori, Gwen, Chris, Theresa and April for their comfort and outstanding help. Thank you Akron Children's Hospital PICU 4 for the outstanding care and treatment our son and family received. Family and friends may call on, Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from 4 to 7pm at Grace Bible Church, 5781 Manchester Rd. New Franklin OH 44319, where funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm.
