Alescia Darlene Massey, age 33, of Akron, passed away August 28, 2015. Alescia graduated from Ellet High School and went on to attend The University of Akron for two years with an interest in Criminal Justice. Alescia loved drag racing with her father. She enjoyed painting, watching scary movies, playing video games, and playing with her dog, Scotty Brat. Alescia had a wonderful sense of humor, always making her friends and family laugh. Alescia showed her giving heart by helping her Mom with her favorite charities. Alescia was a member of Family of Faith United Methodist Church.
Alescia was preceded in death by her father, Gene Massey; grandfather, Raymond Reville; grandfather, Wilbur Massey; and grandmother, Lillian (Bessie) Massey. She is survived by her mother, Margaret Massey; sister, Amanda (Anthony) D'Agostini; brother, Edward Massey of Columbus; grandmother, Mary Dorothy Reville; nieces and nephews, Michael, Jimmy, Rachel, Nathan, Evan, Gracie, Braylen, Brennan and Addalynn; godmother, Darlene Pesek; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, September 5th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 340 Union St., Bedford, Ohio. Officiating will be Fr. Dan Begin and Pastor Ron Shultz. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Alescia's memory or to the family.
