Listen to Obituary

Agnes R. (Farrell) Moore, 81, of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on August 15, 2026. Born on March 19, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mae “Mary” Farrell. She graduated from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in 1963.

Aggie married her beloved husband, Gerald “Jerry” Moore, on December 2, 1967, and together they shared 58 years of marriage. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found great joy in caring for the people she loved.

Aggie is survived by her husband, Gerald; daughters Ginger (Ben) Massey, Tami (Scott) Vega, and Shannon (Tim) Elmerick; son Sean (Daniella) Moore; four grandchildren, Kylie, Cody, Jacob, and Lillian; and two great-grandchildren, Addison and Connor.

The last living of 15 children, Agnes was preceded in death by her brothers Robert, Joe, Hugh, Frank, Richard, and Patrick; and her sisters Margaret, Catherine, Ellen, Anna, Anna’s twin Agnes Flora, Edith, Josephine, and Judy.

Aggie was beloved by her many nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as the untold number of children she babysat over the years. She loved taking care of people and had a gift for making them feel loved and special. She loved to talk, and she loved even more to stay connected to the people she cared about. She was often the glue that held her extended family together, keeping in touch, sharing stories, and helping family members stay connected through the years.

Aggie also had a special love for decorating for the holidays. She took great joy in making her home festive and welcoming, filling it with decorations, warmth, and the spirit of each season. It was another way she showed her love for her family, creating a special place where everyone could gather, celebrate, and make memories together.

Being the last of 15 siblings was something Agnes felt deeply. She missed her brothers and sisters dearly and carried their memory with her throughout her life. Her love for her family was a constant part of who she was, and the connections she nurtured will continue through the generations.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for a Celebration of Life at 2253 McGinty Rd. NW in North Canton.
