Evelyn R. Lawson
Evelyn R. Lawson, 64, of Franklin Township, passed away November 3, 2010 at Akron City Hospital. She was born August 25, 1946 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Thomas W. & Beulah Mae (Bail) Martin. Evelyn worked as a nurse for 42 years at Summa Health Systems. She always put others first and was a devoted wife and mother. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Roland Kent Martin. She is survived by her husband, Tom Lawson; daughters, Rebecca R. Lawson-Campbell and Natalie E. Truelson; son, Thomas Lawson, Jr. (Christine); grandchildren, Cody, Shawn, Zackary and Jacob; sisters, Lorene Thompson (David) and Karen Cavender (Bruce). Calling hours will be Friday from 7 - 9 p.m. and Saturday from 12 - 1 p.m. at Calvary Temple, 3045 Albrecht Ave., Akron where funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dan Jones officiating. Additional calling hours will be Sunday from 6 - 8 p.m. at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home in Gassaway, WV where funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Eureka Methodist Church Cemetery in Strange Creek, WV.
