Lawrence "Larry" P. Steurer, 86, passed away on November 17, 2023. He was born on October 1, 1937 the 5th son of 10 siblings to the late George and Elizabeth Steurer. In addition to his parents; Larry is preceded in death by his first wife of 53 years, Rose (Musleve) Steurer, his second wife of 6 years, Antoinette "Toni" Barna-Steurer; brothers George "Bill" Steurer, John "Jack" Steurer, Edward "Eddie" Steurer, Thomas "Tom" Steurer; and sisters Marjorie Steurer and Margaret "Peg" Cornell.
Larry leaves behind his beloved sisters, Mary Lou Krieg, Elizabeth "Liz" McGonigal, and Kathleen "Kate" Fischer; step-children Anita & Garrett Bowie, Michelle & Christopher Hammond, and Timothy & Amanda Barna; 8 step-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Larry was a 1956 graduate of Coventry High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963 and was stationed in Washington D.C. where he worked at the Pentagon. After serving in the Army, Larry worked at Goodyear Tire Co. in the Data Processing Center for 37 1/2 years until his retirement. He was a man of great faith and was a member of Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church. Larry volunteered for many organizations and donated to many charitable organizations. He was a very kind and generous man.

Visitation will be held on NOVEMBER 28th, Tuesday, from 10:00 to 11:00am at the Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church (2425 Myersville Rd., Akron, 44312) where Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am with Fr. Zachary Kawalec as celebrant.

Interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
