In Memoriam: Judy {Johnson} Howard
Born: September 29, 1945 in Akron, Ohio

Judy {Johnson} Howard, a beloved figure in our community, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, September 10, 2023. She is survived by her devoted husband, John Howard. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Gerald Johnson, and her son, John S. Howard. She will be fondly remembered by her brothers Gerald (Mary) Johnson, Jim (Connie) Johnson, Dave (Tammy) Johnson, and sister Diane (Randy) Wright.

Judy leaves behind a legacy in her two children, Julie (Mike) Bell and James (SoEun) Howard, as well as her cherished daughter-in-law, Kristi Howard. She was a doting grandmother to six grandchildren: Amanda, Madison, Megan, Tessa, Joshua and Julia, and held a special place in the hearts of many nieces and nephews.

For over two decades, Judy dedicated herself to Springfield Schools, leaving an indelible mark on the institution. She found solace and purpose in bringing her beloved dog, Tank, to schools and hospitals.

Her involvement with the Springfield Women's Club was a testament to her commitment to the community. Judy treasured the friendships forged with fellow members over the years.

Judy's memory will forever be cherished by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and community spirit that will continue to inspire us all.

All are invited to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Thursday, September 21 from 5:00 p.m. until the memorial service begins at 7:00 p.m. with Rev.
