She is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Vernon; parents, Harmon and Myrtle Malone; sisters, Bea Jenkins, Ginny Hopper and Barbara Mullin; brother, Gene Malone; baby brother, Lowell; and daughter-in-law, Connie Crace.
She is survived by her children, Phil (Carol) Crace of Albuquerque, NM, Steve (April) Crace of Tallmadge, Suzette (Joe) Garlando of Uniontown and Chris Crace of Mogadore; grandchildren, Erin Martin, Erik James, Stephanie (Nate) Husak, Brian Crace, Joey Garlando and Chad (Paula) Willis; six great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Kay Ruth of Oak Hill; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Our special thanks to Summa Hospice and to her caregiver, Michele.
Mona was a member of Akron Court Order of the Amaranth, White Shrine and the Eastern Star where she recently received her 60 year pin. She was also a volunteer for Keep Akron Beautiful.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023 from 5-8:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, (131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305) where The Billow Chapter E.O.S. and Akron Court Order of the Amaranth will take place at 10:30am on Tuesday, June 13th with a funeral service to follow.
She will be laid to rest on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Hillside Memorial Park in Akron, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mona's memory to the AmericanHeartAssociation.com
