Donna Louise (McGaffney) Johnson, passed away on May 10th, 2023. Donna was born on June 6,1943 to Anne and Lawrence McGaffney in Akron, Ohio and was a life-long resident of the Akron area. She would often share memories of taking the bus as a young girl downtown to O’Neils, grade school walks to Mary Coyle’s, and burgers at Swensons.

Donna loved God, family, and friends. She is survived by her brother David (Karen) McGaffney and her amalgamated group of “kids”: Tammy Dick, Patrick Quotson, Michael Quotson, Kenneth Quotson, Nicole Carrig, Jennifer Quotson, and Timothy Demming as well as a large group of wonderful grandchildren. She was predeceased by her father, Lawrence, her mother Anne (Grandma PTL), her sisters Sally and Janice, and her brother Mark.

Donna will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed cooking, chocolate, writing, and laughing. She will be remembered for sending letters, notes, cards, and recipes to show that she was thinking about you.

No public services will be held. If you would like to do something in honor of Donna, please plant an herb in your kitchen windowsill and think of her when you see the sun shine on it or you snip some for your meal.
