Howard E. Gray, 86, passed away on May 30, 2023. He was born on April 7, 1937 the son of the late Carl and Leslie Gray. Howard retired after 35 dedicated years of service from the Ford Motor Company. He was a Production Chairman of the Local Union #420. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Ellet. Howard was well known for his delicious home cooked meals that he made with love. He enjoyed the outdoors and camping and going on many vacations with his family. Howard had many achievements but his greatest was his love for his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife of 64 years, Shirley Gray; daughter Deborah Marshall; daughter-in-law Caren Gray; and sisters Betty, Sue, and Helen.
Howard is survived by his children, Michael Gray, Brenda (Jim) Harbert, and Charles (Christina) Gray; grandchildren Justin (Jenna), James (Kari), Samantha (Eric), and Nathan (Autumn); great-grandchildren McKenna, Austin, Aria, Eddie, and Ben; brothers Harold (Betty), Carl (Nancy) and Jim (Arlene); and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am on June 5th, Monday at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron) where services will be held at 11:00am with Pastor Tommy Bunner officiating.
Interment will take place at Hillside Memorial Park.
