In Memory Of
James Lee Sears
1978 - 2023

James Lee Sears, 44, passed away unexpectedly on February 3, 2023 surrounded by family after a long fought battle with alcoholism. He was born to Tamela L. Sears and James Walker on October 5, 1978 in Barberton, Ohio. James attended East High School and received his GED. He went on to graduate from Fortis College with a certification in heating and cooling. One of Jimmy's proudest accomplishments was when he started his own buisness, Showtime Delivery. He was finally able to call all the shots and if you knew Jimmy, his way was always the right way! Jimmy could load and pack a truck flawlessly. He prided himself on always making sure the jobs he did were done with perfection. Jimmy loved to work but was happiest while fishing, watching his beloved Pittsburg Steeleres with Forrest and aggravating Robby every Sunday. He also enjoyed running errands, hanging out with his mother and little sister being the best bubba he knew how to be, working side by side with his best friend, Adam, who was always there even in his darkest of times (Adam, thank you for always being such a good friend, Jimmy loved you so much!), bonding with his daughter, Shania, playing Pokemon cards and teaching her maneuverability when she was learning to drive, hanging out with little man building Lego dimensions, playing Skylanders, going to theatre shows and hanging out for the day at Kalahari or Clay's Park. These are memories that his son, James, will cherish forever.

He is preceded in death by mother, Tamela Lynn Sears; father, Robert Simpson; grandmother, Joyce Daniels; aunt, Pamela Sutton; and uncle, Bill Simpson.

Jimmy is survived by son, James Lee-Jeffrey Ramsey; James' mother, Michelle Ramsey; daughter, Shana Renee Estes; Shana's mother, Kristy Estes; sisters, Jamie lynn Sears, Crystal Walker, and Marissa Walker; best friend, Adam Plouse; aunt, Amber McDonald; uncle, Larry Burke; cousins, Austin Wyatt Burke, Damian (Meghan) McDonald and their son, Grayson; Terry-Corky (Cheryl) Sutton and their daughter, Tierra; Randy Sutton and daughters, Ariel and Chloe; Angie Sutton and children, Danielle and Bobby; uncle, Charles (Stacey) Simpson and their children, Christopher and Alicia; uncle, Jeff (Melissa) Simpson and their children, Andrew, Stephen, Samantha, and Brandon; dear friends, Randy and Mary Cadle and Pam Merideth; and childhood best friends, Kenny Hefner, Forrest Fox, Robert Schottenheimer, and Mike Henderson.

Jimmy leaves behind so many family members and friends who loved him so much and wanted to see him healthy and happy and we know that he wanted to be healthy and happy. He fought so hard in the end. He did not choose this for himself. Alcoholism is a disease and not a choice. We love you Jimmy. You are at peace now back with your mother. Rest peacefully.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 4-6pm with a service to follow at 6pm. Pastor Joel Cochran is officiating. The family invites you to sign the online guest book and leave a fond memory.
