1938 - 2023
John L. Michael, 84, passed away March 6, 2023 with his family by his side. Born in Akron, Ohio to Lucas and Leora (Norman) Michael, he was a lifelong area resident. Known to his family and friends as "Johnny Angel", he served in the U. S. Air Force and delivered for the House of LaRose. John played minor league baseball and was an avid bowler. He had a wealth of interesting stories to share with anyone who would listen.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Nancy, Les. He will be sadly missed by the deep love of his life, Jo-Ann Sietz; children, Kimberly Broadhurst, Keith (Kristine), Kimberly Minear, Christine Shreve-Carpenter (Donnie); grandchildren, Jessica, Taylor, Alexandra, Sara, Taylor, Annabelle.
He will be greatly missed but will live on in our hearts and memories forever. Until we meet again!
Family and friends are invited to visit Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. Cremation will follow, per John's wishes.
