In Memory Of
Norman Robert Dassatti
1947 - 2022

Norman Robert Dassatti was born in Akron, OH on July 20th, 1947 and passed away by his family's side in Jesus' arms on November 17th, 2022. He graduated from East High School in 1965. He then went into the United States Army and served in combat during the Vietnam War. After the Army he began a lifelong career at CSX Railroad as an engineer and retired after 42 years of service. He was an avid boxer and boxed in the Golden Gloves.

Norm was the life of any party and was always telling jokes and making everyone laugh. He loved watching the Triple Crown races and playing the lottery daily. He also loved playing golf and after retirement worked for a number of years at Sunny Hills golf Course.

He loved his family more than anything and would do anything for them. Norm never missed any of his daughter's events growing up and went to every practice, game, birthday party and other event for his grandchildren. He was a huge part of their everyday life. He attended church every Saturday with his wife, daughter and grandchildren where his granddaughter Tori served every week as an altar girl. He loved watching his granddaughter Gianna show off her tumbling skills. His oldest granddaughter Tori talked to him every night on the phone and those conversations of him singing and talking will be deeply missed but cherished forever.

Norm was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Sandri, his father, Mario Roberto Dassatti, and his stepfather, Pete Sandri. He leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Pat, who was his rock; his only daughter, Danielle Taylor (Zachary Taylor) and four grandchildren, Tori Taylor, 11, Gianna Taylor, 9, Journey Taylor, 4 and Bo Taylor, 2.

He will be missed beyond words by all of his family and friends. Norm will be in our hearts for eternity.
