She was born on February 13, 1953 in Akron, the daughter of the late Joseph and Ruth (nee Lade) Miller.
Marie loved gardening, her cats, especially Eddie, and antiques. She was an extremely happy and pleasant person to be around. In her younger years she was in musicals at Buchtel High School, for example The Sound Of Music. She was an amazing and brilliant musician, she played the violin. Marie loved drawing and sketching, art museums and clothing design. She would dress to the hilt, with her hats, gloves, jewelry, she was just a real beauty with a heart of gold!
Survivors include her loving sister, Christina "Tina" (Frank) Magnani; her husband's mother and step-father, Katherine and Paul Overholt; her cousins, David (Lissette) Lade and Robert Lade; and her very closest best friend, Lynn (David) Butz; and many other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends that mourn Marie's loss.
Other than her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edward Hale; and her husband's father, Carl Hale; and two brothers, Edward and Richard Miller.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44305, where family and friends may visit one hour prior, 12:00 - 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
