James E. VanBuskirk, age 77 of Akron, passed away November 13, 2022 with his family by his side. He was born in Akron on February 20, 1945 to the late George and Dorothy (McKitrick) VanBuskirk.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 35 years, Susan; son: Jody VanBuskirk. He will be sadly missed by his children, Julie (Bill) Krasauskas, Jackie Newell, Joann Reed, Scott Reed; 16 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
Jim loved going fishing but more than anything he loved his Susan, and they were inseparable as best friends.
Per Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal services. The family will be having a Celebration of Life for Jim and Susan on Sunday, December 4th, 2022 at Goodyear Heights Metro Park on Newton St., Akron, Ohio 44305 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. All are welcome.
