Patrick William Meffert Sr., "Pat", age 72 of Akron, Ohio, died on September 19, 2022.

He was born on June 6, 1950 in Akron, the son of the late Robert Burdette Meffert and Shirley (nee Moran) Meffert Canavan.

Pat was a 1968 graduate of East High School. Following high school, Pat enlisted into the US Army, serving during the Vietnam War, along side his brothers, being honorably discharged in 1972. He was a Very Proud Veteran!

Pat was a roofer journeyman and worked out of Local #88 for 38 years plus. He loved to gamble, camp, boat and read. He also loved to play cards with his wife, Susan, and their best friends, Pete and Trisha Rogers.

Survivors include his wife, the former Susan Piens; his children, Pat William (Mary) Meffert Jr, Britney Rowland and Joshua (fiancee, Ashley Fazenbaker) Meffert; his grandchildren, Cassidy Rowland, McCayla Meffert, Madilyn Meffert, Maximus Meffert, Deagan Meffert, Kaleb Conner and Daxton Meffert.

Patrick is also survived by his brother, Curtis (Laura) Meffert; his sisters-in-law, Joyce Meffert, Tammy Shutts and Cheri Keesee; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that mourn his loss.

Other than his parents, Pat was preceded in death by his siblings, his twin- Robert Meffert Jr, Gayle Meffert and Jeffrey Meffert; and his step-father, Donald "Don" Canavan.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at 3:00 PM, his brother, Curtis, will celebrate Patrick's life.

Family and friends may visit from 1:00 - 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at the funeral home.
