1944 - 2022

William George "Bill" Thompson passed away on Friday, September 16th, following a brief illness. He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Rebecca “Becky” Thompson. He is also preceded in death by his parents Vernon Thompson and Lenore Eckler, brothers Ted, Sonny, Jim and Bob Thompson, and sister Linda Kaehn. Bill is survived by his sisters Andy Doolittle, Jeanette Reynolds, and Mary Sue Robbins. Bill will be greatly missed by his children Bill Thompson, Mike Thompson, Daniel Thompson (Summer Oney), and Kim Thompson (Steve Sayre). In addition, Bill is survived by ten grandchildren (Kirsten, Shay, Danny Paul, Billy, Danielle, Nate, Alvie Colton, Steven, and Carter).

Bill graduated from Field High School in in 1963. He retired from Goodyear Employees Credit Union in December of 2014. He enjoyed spending time with his family, collecting guitars, and pressing his luck at MGM Casino.

Bill touched all of our lives with his unconditional love and unapologetic opinions. His legacy will live on through his children and grandchildren.

The family has chosen not to conduct a funeral service, but is appreciative to everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
