James Dunn obituary: James Dunn's Obituary, Akron
In Memory Of
James Clarence "Jim" Dunn
1928 - 2022
In Memory Of
James Clarence "Jim" Dunn
1928 - 2022
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife Arletta, daughters Mary Kelly and Lillian "Beanie" Moss, granddaughter Jessica Dunn, grandson Cody Dunn and brothers Carl and Raymond Dunn.
Jim will always be loved by his children Jim (Debbie) Dunn Jr., Peggy (John Porter) Dawson and Mike (Tina) Dunn; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many dear friends.
Jim was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, and served during WWII. He was also a longtime member and supporter of AA, and had a great friendship with Dr. Bob. Jim held many friends close to his heart, as a matter of fact, and maintained those friendships for a lifetime. He was an avid euchre player, and was nearly unbeatable! Jim also enjoyed a relaxing round of golf every time the skies were dry, especially when he got to play with Mike. Jim's personality, and the way he showed his love, were simple but certain, and he will be fondly remembered by many.
All are welcome to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Saturday, September 24 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., when funeral services will begin. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Brimfield, where well-deserved military honors will be held, and where Jim will be laid to rest with Arletta.
