Tony Kollar, 59, of Tallmadge, passed away at home with family at his side on July 27, 2022 after a 15 month battle with symptoms from ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). Tony was born in Akron on June 12, 1963. He retired from the City of Kent, Engineering Department. In his free time, he loved being with family and friends camping, smoking meat, playing cards, home renovations and tinkering with his grandfather's tractor in his garage.

Tony is survived by his wife, Sheri; children, Kristine (Brandon Bungard) and Kevin; grandson, Henry; mother, Mary Alice; mother-in law, Chick Rinehart; brothers and sisters, Dan (Carol), Joan (Chris) Grispin, Kathy (Dick) Kelnhofer, Patty (Danny) Fogle, and Jerry; brother-in law, John (Kristi) Rinehart; many nieces and nephews; and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by brother, Mike; and father, Larry.
He is with God and other departed family members enjoying cookouts and playing euchre.

A Celebration of Life to be held on Monday, August 8 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at The Event Center, 2208 East Market Street, Akron.

Private mass and burial.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ALS association.
