Ronald Keith (Ron) Frasher, 87, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 24, 2022. He was a graduate of Garfield High School (1953) and The University of Akron. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he lived in Brimfield, Ohio for 51 years. He was active with the Brimfield Athletic Association for decades as both a coach and an umpire. He spent many mornings at the McDonalds in Brimfield with friends he made in the community. Ron’s entire career was in printing where he worked primarily as a typesetter at Summit Hot Type. He enjoyed playing pinochle, bridge and euchre.
Ron is preceded in death by parents, William and Peggy Frasher; sisters, Barbara Rourke (Del), Sandra Moore (Billy), Vicki Owens, Judy Frasher, and Sheila Uzl. He is survived by wife, Kathleen M. Frasher of 58 years; sister, Nancy Hinkle (Richard); brother-in-law, Mike Uzl; Janet Frasher (aunt); sons, Norman Frasher (Stephenie), Greg Frasher (Lisa); daughters, Darlene Heater and Rhonda Butler (late Dennis Butler) and grandchildren, Lyndsay Frank (Donny), Nick Heater, Cheryl and Michelle Frasher, Raegan, Ryleigh and Kamryn Butler, Blake and Jack Frasher.
Ron will be laid to rest with military honors at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 2:15 pm on Friday September 9, 2022. A celebration will take place afterwards from 6-8 pm at Greg and Lisa Frasher's home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Field Athletic Boosters, 2900 State Route 43, Mogadore, Ohio 44260.
