Rick Parsons, age 73 of Copley Township passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022. He was born in Akron on April 19, 1949, a son of the late Malcolm and Geneva {Grubb} Parsons.

In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his sister Dawn Elaine Parsons, brother Dean Malcolm Parsons, kitties Skeeter and Mugsy, and beloved pup Snuffy.

Rick will always be loved by his wife of 29 years, Rosemarie "Rori" Parsons; children Chip (Deb Bernadine) Parsons and Kelly (Paul) White; grandchildren Ashley, Alyssa, Adam, Alivia, Haley, Paige and Kristopher; great-granddaughter Blake Charlotte; many beloved cousins and friends.

Rick was a 1967 graduate of Springfield High School. After graduation, Rick served in the United States Army, and was in Vietnam from June of '69 until March of '71. Rick was the owner of Parsons Machine & Mold, Inc.

All are invited to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Saturday, July 23 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 12:00 p.m., which will be followed by well-deserved military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the DAV, or an animal rescue of your choice. BYOB, and your favorite Rick story, to the gathering following (details to be provided at the service).
