He was born on August 12, 1966 in Akron, the son of Ray Allen of Akron and Ruth A. (nee Bechter) Sisson of North Canton.
John graduated from Garfield High School in 1984 and from the University of Akron in 1995 with a Bachelor Degree in Business Finance.
John was employed by the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union #219.
John was interested in genealogy and gardening. He loved the beach and helping people.
In addition to his parents, John is survived by his spouse and life partner, Robert E. Glass, whom he married on August 24, 2011; his siblings, Denise (Mark) Sawyer and David (Laura) Allen; his aunts and uncles, Hazel (Louie) Kroah, Chuck (Betty) Bechter and many loving cousins and friends.
Please the family is requesting no flowers and all memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to Akron Children's Hospital, in John's memory.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 12:00 PM, where family and friends may visit from 10:00 - 12:00 PM.
Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Akron.
