Beverly J. Wood
1938 - 2021

Beverly J. Wood (Langman-Trend), "Bev", 83, of Copley, Ohio, passed into her Lord and Savior's arms on December 24, 2021, with family at her side. Some people may think it sad that a mom passed on Christmas Eve, but for our mom, it was definitely fitting as she always made Christmas grand for us.

Beverly was born on September 7, 1938, in Cleveland, OH, to the late Ross A. Langman Sr and Mary I. Langman (Hodgeman). Bev spent her fist 25+ years of her life in Cleveland, then the next 20 years in Richfield and her final years in Copley.

Bev made many friends throughout her years. She was a bookkeeper for many years then a loan officer. She enjoyed going to church and being involved with the church until she was no longer able. She also enjoyed thrift shopping, watching the Golden Girls, drag racing, and the Cleveland Browns. Most importantly, she enjoyed her family and loved them very much!

In addition to her parents, Bev was preceded in death by her infant son; daughters, Cheryl Trend Koran and Debbye Trend; and siblings, Barbara Catley and Ross A. Langman Jr.

She is survived by her sons, Sonny (Karen) Trend of Clinton, Ohio, Ray (Rita) Wood of West Salem, Ohio; her daughter, Mary (Ray) Frase of Clinton, Ohio; and her son-in-law, Jack (Renee) Koran; her grandchildren, Tim Trend, Tom Trend, Kelly (Rich) Archdeacon, Kim (Zara) Doolittle-Koran, Megan (Sam) Alderman, Molly (Jeff) Bradford, Rob (Ashley) Turchanik, Matthew Trend and Adam Trend; her great-grandchildren, Hannah, Nathan, Natalie, Aiden, Malcolm, Owen and Carson; and her nieces and nephews, to whom she was known as Aunt BeBe.

The family would like to give thank to Barberton Summa Hospital (4 South) for their kindness and care given to our mother.

Burial with graveside services will be held at a later and warmer date.

All arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron, Ohio.
