Ron was born on November 13, 1961 in Akron, Ohio to Robert and Ethel (Portis) Brown. He was a carpenter, plumber, and all around handyman. Ron enjoyed fishing. He loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Wanda and Betty Brown, and brother-in-law, Clifford Tucker.
Ron will be deeply missed by his children, Kaneca (Deon Walker) Gibson, Derrick Whatley, Thomas (Stephanie) Brown, and Ronald Lewis, grandchildren, Keon Walker, Thomas Lane, Braylen Brown, Chasidy Lane, Jaylen Brown, Ja'veon Wright, Donna Marie Young, and Nigeria and Damire Whatley, siblings, Joyce Tucker, John C. (Fanny) Brown, John A. Brown, Duane (Jeraldine) Brown, and Jimmie Brown, special friend, Patricia Holyfield, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home in Akron. Friends and family may come to call an hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home in Ron's name to cover the cost of services.
