Denise "Dee" A. McGee, age 70 of Akron, passed away peacefully at Justin T. Rogers Hospice Center in Akron on October 14, 2021.

Dee was born on June 26, 1951 in Akron to Roland and Elaine (Hoover) Paradis. She graduated from Kenmore High School and then went on get her Associates Degree from Nazarene College in Steubenville, Ohio. Dee was an active member of Celebration Church. Dee spent many hours listening to worship music. She enjoyed doing graphic arts and loved her dogs. Spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, was the highlight of her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and son, Shawn Spence.

Dee is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Bob, children, Joy (Josh) Griffith, and Brandon (Kristen) McGee, grandchildren, Aiden, Allison, Autumn, Aaron, Nicholas, and Noah, and her fur babies, Charli and Bilbo.

Friends and family may come to call on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from 10-11 a.m. at Celebration Church, 688 Dan St., Akron, with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m. A private inurnment will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
