Bobby J. Ledford, 74, passed away on October 6, 2021. He was born on February 19, 1947 in Johnson City, TN to the late Jack and Bernice Ledford. Bobby proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded a Purple Heart. He retired after many years as a machinist. Bobby loved sports, especially the Cleveland Browns and NASCAR.

On August 8, 1966 Bobby married Karen (Messenger) Ledford, who survives him after 55 happy years of marriage. He is also survived by their children, Cheryl (Greg), Bobby (Lisa) and Donny (Sarah); 2 brothers, Larry (Dian) Ledford and Ricky (Debbie) Ledford; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. He also had a very special buddy, "Garrett." Bobby was preceded in death by his brother Sam.

Visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Wednesday, October 13 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. in Akron. Funeral service will take place at 12pm on Thursday, with visitation one hour prior to service. Graveside services with honors at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery to follow.
