Diane M. Hensley, age 70 of Lake Township was taken into God's hands on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, following a sudden illness. She was born on January 14, 1951 to the late Gus and Vivian {Merillat} Amato, and lived most of her life in the Uniontown area.

Diane attended Central Hower High School and worked as an Administrative Assistant for Kent State University and Edwin Shaw Hospital. Recently she was a wonderful Homemaker. Diane was an amazing wife and mother who enjoyed so many things in life, including baking and cooking. She had a passion for jewelry making and football, just to name a few. Her smile and laughter touched so many hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents Gus and Vivian Amato, her sister Diana and brothers Steve and David.

Her survivors include her loving husband of 46 years, William Hensley; son Jeff (Sue) Brown; daughter Ann Marie (John) Shelton; sister Linda (Robert) Connor, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, "grandkitty" Brady, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to acknowledge the Medical Teams of Summa Health System Akron for their professional and loving care.

Friends and family are welcome to visit on Wednesday, October 13 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, 44305 from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins at 11:00 a.m. Following services, a graveside committal will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery, Uniontown.
