Barbara Jean Schrader (Carter), of Mogadore, OH, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021. She was born to Aster and Ruth Carter in Clio, WV. Barb is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert Schrader; sons, Craig Schrader, Scott Schrader and wife Melissa; and daughter, Stephanie and husband Wade Kerzie; nine grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan, Sarah, Kaley, Tori, Jacob, Garrison, Cameron and Karaline; one great-grandchild, Noah; and two siblings, Richard Carter and Beverley Ashley. She was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings, Steven Carter, Paul Carter, Danny Carter, Charles Carter, and Jerry Carter. Barb retired from Mogadore Local Schools after many years of being a playground and cafeteria aide.

Barb was known for her incredibly infectious laugh, and her ability to make everyone feel loved, happy, and welcome. She was the ultimate caretaker to her family and friends. Her devotion to them was unmatched. Barb loved cooking for her family, especially on the holidays, and was known for her amazing Calico Beans. Her family loved to gather around the dinner table and enjoy her meals together.
Mom/Grandma/Granny Barb, our memories with you are something we will cherish and remember for the rest of our lives. You were the best Wife/Mother/Grandmother/Sister we could have ever asked for. We will love and miss you forever, until we meet again in Heaven.

Private family services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara’s memory to the Mogadore Lions Club.
