1940 - 2021

Gary Dean Holl, 80, went to be with the Lord on August 2, 2021, lovingly surrounded by family. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia, of 55 years; children, Kim Holl, Mary (Edward) Hardman, Carolyn (Tim) Bauer, Gary (Sandy) Holl, Steven (Bonnie) Holl, Robert (Michelle) Holl, and Daniel Holl; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, William and David Holl; along with many other special family and friends. Preceded in death by parents, William and Mildred Holl; brother, Richard Holl; and beloved grandson, Todd Harris.

Gary grew up in Akron and graduated from East High School. He made his home in Lakemore, Ohio. He was always active in his community serving for 27 years as Lakemore Councilman. Gary was also active in the Lakemore Jaycees and the Suburban Girls Softball. He enjoyed following all of his grandchildren's sporting events. Gary retired from Manchester Tool after 25 years of service. He was also a member of Springfield Fellowship Church, where he served as a Deacon. His church family always meant so much to him.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and will be greatly missed.

Calling hours will be held from 6pm-8pm on Sunday, August 8 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. in Akron and also on Monday, August 9 from 11am-12pm at Springfield Fellowship Church, 830 Ewart Rd. in Springfield where funeral services will begin at 12pm. Interment to follow at Hillside Memorial Park in Springfield. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the National Kidney Foundation in Gary's memory.
