Paula Jean Griggs, age 59 of Tallmadge passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 24, 2021. She was born in Akron on June 19, 1962, the daughter of the late Tony and Catherine {Naugle} Giner.

In addition to her parents, Paula was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Mitch, and siblings Harry Fyock, Debbie Giner and Rose Giner.

Paula's memory will live on in her daughters Debbi (Nate) Bollman, Vicki (Mike) Walkuski and Mary (David) Gindlesperger; grandchildren Nicholas, Brianna and Mikey; sisters Norma (Willard) Davies and Angie Epling; brothers John (Polly) Giner and Tony Giner.

Paula was a former employee of GOJO and Hardee's. She loved to be outdoors, especially going fishing and camping, and visiting the beach. Paula also collected butterfly and Piglet figurines. She had a love for Ford Mustangs, and enjoyed country music. Paula was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and the greatest joy and memories came from spending time with her family.

All are welcome to visit on Friday, July 30 from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral service begins at 4:00 p.m., at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron 44305. Following Friday's service, Paula will be cremated, and will be laid to rest at a later date with Mitch, at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. To leave a message for Paula's family, please scroll below.
