In Memory Of
Vernon Dale Blouir
1942 - 2021

Vernon Dale Blouir, 79, of Green passed away comfortably due to renal failure. He was very proud of his 40 years of sobriety where he was a past member of the Akron Arid Club. Known by "Dizzy Dale" there he volunteered with Bingo and many other activities.

Vernon shared the last 35 years with his companion Helen. She surprised him on his 60th birthday with a hot air balloon ride. They enjoyed trips to Florida, fishing and bingo at Friendship Acres, where they camped for many years and had lots of friends there. He especially loved Christmas and spending all holidays with his family.

He felt you do not have to be blood to be family. With that being said, he was loved and adored by his two grandsons, CJ and Chad, whether cheering them on at their baseball games or casting a rod, it was time well spent.

Vernon will be sadly missed by his companion, Helen; step-children, Joe, Lisa (Chuck); grandchildren, CJ (Allyssa), Chad (Ashley), Angel, Chelsea; siblings, Kenny (Kathy), Don, Sherry (Randy) Kalar; his beloved dog, Duke; other family members and friends.

Going before him were his parents, Charles and Verna (Cash) Blouir and brother, Leslie.

The family would like to thank Homestead Hospice caretakers, Madison, Meagan and Molly, as well as Raquel and staff of Jackson Ridge, also Kim, his dialysis nurse. All of them are much appreciated for their loving care of Vernon.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Vernon's name to Fresenius Kidney Care South Summit.
