Donna Joan Trippe (nee Perry), age 84, of Akron, Ohio, passed away on July 12, 2021 at Windsor Medical Center.

Private Memorial Services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron, and a private burial will take place at Hope Cemetery, Salem, Ohio.

Donna Joan Trippe "Joan" was born in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Viola Eloise Maxwell (nee Heckert) and Thomas Perry on March 1, 1937. Joan went to school at Boardman High School. She worked for Akron City Hospital for many years at various positions in the emergency room and was always very passionate about patient care. Her last job was an office manager at a medical billing company until she finally retired. Joan enjoyed her many pets, loved Christmas and gardening.

She is survived by her beloved husband, John Trippe; beloved daughter, Sandra (David) Helms and sons, William Jr., Robert and Bruce Gerthing. Joan is also survived by her step-children, Glenn (Jeanne) Trippe, Alicia (Bill) Rorick and Wayne (Marilyn Brentlinger) Trippe; her sister, Clara Cox (nee Perry) and brother, Donald Maxwell; her blended family of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and best friend to Eloise Foster for 50+ yrs.
